Leonardo da Vinci study day

Join Sian Walters, National Gallery lecturer, on a introductory lecture followed by lunch, timed entry tickets and study notes. 15 Dec 2011.

15 Dec 2011. This will be the most complete display of Leonardo’s surviving paintings ever held, and this National Gallery exhibition will be without doubt one of the most exciting in Europe this year. Bringing together sensational international loans never before seen in the UK, it focuses on Leonardo’s career under Duke Lodovico Sforza and will include works such as ‘La Belle Ferronière’ (Musée du Louvre, Paris), the ‘Madonna Litta’ (Hermitage, Saint Petersburg), and the ‘Lady with the Ermine’ (Krakow). It also presents a newly attributed work, the ‘Salvator Mundi’, an exciting discovery which has been the subject of much speculation

Our study day includes a lecture by Siân Walters, timed entry tickets, audioguide hire and study notes. Lunch is not included but has been arranged in a delightful Italian restaurant, for those who would like to join the group.
