'In the Footsteps of Hercules in Leeds' by Eleanor O'Kell

Title: "In the Footsteps of Hercules in Leeds"
Abstract: This is an opportunity to step into Hercules' size 14 1/2 shoes, complete his 12 Labours and become a hero! Eleanor OKell (Underworlds Live in Leeds, Light Night 2010) producer of the factasy walking tour that was "In the Footsteps of Hercules" (Light Night 2011) gets into costume and character to take us on a virtual tour of Leeds art and architecture. The concept was based on, and complemented, research by Emma Stafford (Classics) into the use and meaning of the hero Heracles/Hercules through the ages.

From the main entrance, go straight on past the front desk, then through the doors on the left. Follow the corridor round to the right and then to the left. At the end of the corridor on your right take the lift to the second floor (West) or go up 5 short flights of stairs. The Miall Lecture Theatre (2.34) is straight opposite the lift.
