Leonardo da Vinci study day

Join Sian Walters, National Gallery lecturer, on a introductory lecture followed by lunch, timed entry tickets and study notes. 20th June 2012

20th June 2012. A stunning new exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci’s studies of the human body takes place at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace this summer, and will be the largest ever show dedicated to this area of the artist’s work. Leonardo had wanted to publish a treatise on anatomy and had he done so his discoveries would have transformed European knowledge of the subject, but upon his death his studies remained unknown and unpublished in his studio

Our study day includes an introductory talk by National Gallery lecturer Siân Walters, timed entry tickets, audioguide hire and study notes. Lunch (optional) been arranged in a delightful French restaurant, for those who would like to join the group.
