Curator at Jerwood Space & independent projects


Sarah Williams is Jerwood Visual Arts (JVA) Gallery Manager and curates within the JVA exhibition programme at Jerwood Space. She also works as an independent curator, artist and lecturer and was recently a selector of the Digitalis Commissions for Animate Projects, the Core Gallery Open (2011), the Drawing Inspiration Awards (2011) and the Sussex Coast College Art Prize (2010). Recently curated exhibitions include; Matter (with Claire Undy) at APT Gallery for Abstract Critical (2011). She is currently developing Assembly, an exhibition for the JVA exhibition programme 2012.

Within her artistic practice she uses sculptural objects, architectural interventions, performance and photography to explore the relationship between object, live event and documentation.
