Open University study day: introducing religions

Discussion about the central beliefs and related maerial culture of some of the major world religions, as they are represented in the British Museum.


This study day discusses the central beliefs and related material culture of some of the major world religions, as they are represented in the British Museum. Lectures and gallery talks introduce Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. They will be a particular focus on the relevance of Hajj to Islam, and the importance of making a physical and spiritual journey, common to several religions. Open to OU students and the public.
