The Liberal Defense of Murder

The Liberal Defense of Murder, book-launch and Q&A

The Mosaic Rooms invites you to join us for the launch of Richard Seymour’s new book:

The Liberal Defense of Murder on:

Wednesday 18 July, 7pm

The departures of Tony Blair and George Bush offered the hope of an end to the ‘war on terror’ and a turn away from liberal interventionism. Barack Obama promised change, but we have seen him justify ‘intervention’ in Libya on humanitarian grounds, increased troops in Afghanistan and escalated operations in Pakistan.

As rumblings grow louder of an intervention in Syria, Richard will be discussing why an understanding of the history of liberal support for war and imperialism is more vital than ever.

Richard Seymour lives, works and writes in London and runs the popular Lenin’s Tomb website and writes for the Guardian.
