Archaeology as Rehabilitation for soldiers injured in Afghanistan

Senior Historic Advisor to the MOD, Richard Osgood discusses archaeology's role in rehabilitating wounded soldiers.


The Society of Antiquaries' first public lecture series will open with a lecture from Richard Osgood FSA, Senior Historic Advisor to the Ministry of Defence. Richard’s presentation will introduce the public to ‘Operation Nightingale’, a ground breaking new project deploying injured soldiers to work on archaeological digs around the country.
