Dom Sylvester Houédard and the Cosmic Typewriter

This one-day event, co-ordinated by Nicola Simpson, celebrates the life and legacy of Dom Sylvester Houédard.

This one-day event, co-ordinated by Nicola Simpson, celebrates the life and legacy of Dom Sylvester Houédard with a creative symposium, exhibition, film screening and evening concert devoted to performances of a selection of his poem scores. Houédard (1929–1992) played an instrumental role in the concrete poetry movement in the 1960s and was a pivotal figure in a fluxus of artists that included John Cage, Allen Ginsberg, Ian Hamilton Finlay and Yoko Ono.
