"Unto Southampton do we shift our scene ..."

Local historian Geoff Watts looks at some of the lesser-known stories from the long and fascinating history of Southampton.

Local historian, Geoff Watts, draws on his extensive research to share stories, mostly of the lesser known variety, from the long and fascinating history of Southampton. From a King of Norway, a very knowledgeable Yorkist, and an unwelcome cell mate at the Bargate, to the last man hanged at Southampton Common and the ‘most wanted’ Confederate Naval Commander of the American Civil War, this lecture will feature many hidden gems and unexpected surprises.
