Own-it has invited a panel of practitioners and legal professionals to discuss the value of design right in the fashion industry.
Fashion is a fast-paced industry and design right has been developed to protect new designs and innovation. However, copying others' designs seems to be a widespread practice in the sector - some call it inspiration without which the industry would loose its edge and some call for criminal charges for serial offenders.
