Each year 25,000 Britons undergo plastic surgery. The majority of these operations are cosmetic, however, surgery is increasingly being used to hide facial disfigurement. Audiences are invited to join this frank discussion and object handling evening, exploring why so many people want to go under the knife. Is surgery a physical quick fix to a psychological problem, or is society’s pressure to be beautiful just too great?
