Crossing Borders is a series of talks curated by Frank Bock that invites UK and international practitioners whose work understands movement and embodiment through a variety of different forms. Art practice, neuroscience, somatics and curation underpin the many contexts where such explorations take place.

“The series of talks this autumn sets out to explore the interaction / intra-action between work and spectator. I am interested in how the immateriality of the art object and the thickness of the encounter and the different invitations made, reveal how the lines may be redrawn between the viewer and the work. I have put together an exciting list of speakers who open up perspectives to participatory, immersive, and interactive strategies which constitute differing relationships of self and work. Where such border lies and how it is drawn is offered by these speakers from the perspective of their individual practices.” - Frank Bock
For autumn 2013, Crossing Borders will take place from 1 October – 10 December (with no talk on 29 October).
