Christopher Pissarides is the School Professor of Economics and Political Science and Regius Professor Designate at LSE. In 2010 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for his work with Peter Diamond and Dale Mortensen on the analysis of markets with search frictions.
