Geology's "rock star"

Geographer and geologist Professor Iain Stewart talks about his research and the making of his BBC earth science documentaries.


Geographer and geologist Iain Stewart is a Professor of Geosciences Communication at the University of Plymouth where his research interests include the mechanics of natural hazards, such as tsunamis and earthquakes, as well as how geological changes can affect culture and society around the world. Iain is perhaps best known to the public as the presenter of various science programmes for the BBC including Making Scotland’s Landscape, Men of Rock and the BAFTA nominated Earth: The Power of the Planet.
