Julia Crabtree and William Evans are the third recipients of the Nina Stewart Artist Residency. Crabtree and Evans completed their BAs in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martin’s in 2007. In September 2013 Crabtree finished her MA and Evans his MFA at the Slade School of Fine Art. They recently had a solo exhibition, Hyper Bole, at Legion TV, London (2014).

Paul Clinton is a writer and curator and is the editorial assistant at frieze magazine. His writing and lectures have recently focussed on the notion of stupidity and on feminist and queer enquiries in contemporary art. He has written for magazines such as frieze, edited a special issue of the journal parallax on stupidity and written catalogue essays for artists including Bonnie Camplin and Jacopo Miliani. Recent events Clinton has organised include Stupidious at the South London Gallery and the conference Shimmering World, which had presentations by Ed Atkins, David Panos and Hannah Sawtell. Other speaking engagements have taken place at the Whitechapel Gallery, University of Manchester and FormContent project space. Clinton is also a founding member of the performance art band No Bra, co-writing several songs on the album Dance and Walk. He is currently continuing his research into stupidity with a curated exhibition on the theme.
