Names: the long shadow of war and remembrance, 1914-2014

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission and LSE Remembrance Lecture


Professor David Reynolds will address the legacy of the First World War, in particular the effect of mass bereavement and commemoration.

David Reynolds is Professor of International History at Cambridge University and a Fellow of Christ’s College.

Sönke Neitzel is a professor in the Department of International History at LSE and a leading expert on the history of Germany in the two world wars.
