Jenny Uglow will show how gardeners and writers have always inspired each other. Her illustrated talk will feature rhyming advice books for Tudor farmer's wives, touching eighteenth century diaries, grand designs and botanical excursions, and the comical gardeners of Dickens, Diary of a Nobody and P.G. Wodehouse.
