Family History: Surname Searching & Finding Pedigrees

Come and enjoy an interesting talk on family history, and still have enough time to get back to your desk.

Bring your lunch (bottled water also allowed) and share a cup of tea or coffee with us afterwards. The Society of Genealogists are hosting a set of half-hour Lite Bite lunchtime lectures. These free Wednesday lectures are by experts from the Society of Genealogists, and are for anyone interested. You don’t need any specialist knowledge to attend. Our talk on Wednesday 25th, is for family historians, searching for a family surname or pedigree. So many people are now tracing their family histories. It's highly possible that something on the family you're researching has already been published - maybe a cousin is also working on this family line. Else Churchill introduces sources online and off line, including the archives at the Society of Genealogists, that might be useful in your search for surnames.
