Who was the real Thomas Cromwell?

Dr Tracy Borman ponders the question, who was the real Thomas Cromwell?

Following the recent success of BBC 2’s ‘Wolf Hall’ everyone is talking about Thomas Cromwell. With new insights into Cromwell's character, his family life and his close relationships with both Cardinal Wolsey and Henry VIII, joint Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces Dr Tracy Borman reveals the life, loves and legacy of the man who changed the shape of England forever. Her highly acclaimed biography, Thomas Cromwell: the untold story of Henry VIII’s most faithful servant, was published by Hodder & Stoughton in September 2011 and was Book of the Week in The Times.
This is the second of six exclusive events for 2015 at our secret location in the heart of Covent Garden. This private club has a distinct 50’s retro feel and our brilliant lectures take place in the small, intimate theatre. The ticket price includes a complimentary drink of wine or a soft drink.
