A panel of experts, migrants and activists will discuss the crisis in Calais and the Mediterranean, and how the United Kingdom could better respond.
The refugee crises in the Mediterranean and Calais have sparked a hysterical media reaction and cynical political responses. This month, the London Young Greens will be holding a panel discussion to develop a progressive answer to the emerging humanitarian disaster.
The meeting will be joined by a Deputy Leader of the Green Party, Shahrar Ali, who has recently returned from the Calais migrant camps. Other speakers will include individuals from Amnesty International and migrants rights groups.
The event will start at 7.45pm at.Development House, 56-64 Leonard St, London. The nearest tube station is Old Street.
