Naked Science: Testing times for complementary medicine

Reflexology and shiatsu, reiki and acupuncture: alternative and complementary medicines (CAM) are becoming increasingly popular, having nearly doubled in the UK in recent years. Despite a boom in research, many involved in the medical profession still distrust complementary medicines. Can scientific trials and tests lend legitimacy to alternative treatments? Join a panel of experts, includingToby Murcott, author of The Whole Story – alternative medicine on trial? and Edzard Ernst, Professor of Complimentary Medicines, Peninsula Medical School, Exeter to compare these questions and public perception.
