Northumberland House and the Glass Drawing Room

In this talk, Dr Adriano Aymonino from the University of Buckingham, examines the history of Northumberland House and Adam’s unique work within.


The vast, opulent Northumberland House on London’s Strand, was home to Robert Adam’s glass drawing room, one of his most fascinating interior designs. The room won fame for its ornate detail, colourful ceiling and lined walls of beautiful painted glass.
In this talk, Dr Adriano Aymonino from the University of Buckingham, examines the history of Northumberland House and Adam’s unique work within. Guests will be able to enjoy a drink on arrival and a private view of the exhibition Robert Adam’s London (30 November 2016 - 11 March 2017).
