Tribes of Glasgow with Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie

Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie bring their stories to life in a way akin to Humans of New York, through first-hand accounts and a blend of portrait and candid photography

Finding himself faced with a feeling of disconnect from his city of birth, Stephen Millar set out on a mission to capture the heart and essence of Glasgow, engaging with the patchwork of ‘tribes’ which make up the fabric of the city. Meeting with members of a remarkable variety of clubs and sub-cultures – including cosplayers, gunslingers, LGBT boxers and more – Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie bring their stories to life in a way akin to Humans of New York, through first-hand accounts and a blend of portrait and candid photography. Millar and McCredie will reveal their experiences meeting the tribes and how the book came to be, followed by a Q&A and signing opportunity.
