Pitching Perfect: A Masterclass in Selling from the professionals at Eurostar

A networking event for Creative Entrepreneurs in need of selling tips for their product or service's

Many Creative Entrepreneurs though highly creative and talented, often fail to market and commercialise their product properly. When their product or service is finally ready for market, the next hurdle is selling it i.e.: ‘Knocking on doors’ to raise awareness, Pitching in a tendering situation, Closing a deal with a potential client, after–sales care etc, etc.
There is a perceived culture of embarrassment surrounding ‘promoting yourself’ and since most start ups and SME's can’t afford to hire a sales person at the outset, they are often attempting to fulfil that role themselves with sometimes limited success.
Sales techniques for any sector are to an extent fairly similar. The same rules are often applicable when approaching or dealing with clients. This event will focus on elements like:
• Sales Etiquette – Do’s and Don’ts (before, during and after tenders)
• Dress Codes/Body Language
• Closing a deal
• Examining the notion of selling from 2 points of view – Seller and Client.

The Creative Entrepreneurs Club

Designers, thinkers, doers, creatives, writers, analysts, stylists, musicians, DJs, gamers, architects and cultural academics – collectively, they represent the membership of the Creative Entrepreneurs Club, the network for the creative industries in Scotland.

We bring these people together to network, pitch their new ideas, listen to inspiring speakers and showcase their work. The CEC hosts around six networking events each year, and has already attracted in excess of 1300 members including Directors or Senior Partners of the most dynamic companies in Scotland

The CEC is coordinated by The Lighthouse, Scotland’s National Centre for Architecture Design and The City, which gives us direct access to both established companies and the new talent from our Art Schools and Universities. Membership means you’ll be joining the network for creative industries, and will have a voice in an ongoing forum for discussion that is shaping a global industry, and defining Scotland’s increasingly important place within it.
