Why Collect?

Wednesday Late View Lecture

Contemplating the Crafts Council’s collections Amanda Fielding looks at the how’s, why’s and what’s of collecting to represent the best of contemporary craft work today and for the future. Karen Livingstone then explores the V&A’s recent craft acquisitions, both from Collect and other exhibitions, and reveals the criteria used to shape and evolve the collections. There will a question and answer session afterwards, plus the speakers will be available in the Collect exhibition for further questions during the evening.
