The Muslim world is in turmoil over the depiction of the prophet of Islam by news outlets in European countries. Whilst many commentators view the pictures as merely upholding the values of freedom of speech. The question is why?

Why are Muslims so angry?
Wasn't it just a bit of harmless fun?
Wasn’t the devastation of foreign embassies an overreaction?
Must we uphold and defend freedom of speech and expression at all cost?
Don't Muslims also believe in free speech?
Does this represent a clash of civilisations?
What about those 'placards' held up in London?
