The widening gap between rich and poor is a matter of increasing attention and concern. This workshop, sponsored by Defra, the City of London and Gresham College, will explore whether new financial models, new financial instruments and new technology may offer market-based solutions to investment in developing countries, meeting the needs of both investors and the poor.
