Catwalk extravaganza at Science Museum’s Dana Centre to show off best green fashion designs

Recycled fashion show and workshops on 15 February featuring five green fashion designers.

The Science Museum’s Dana Centre will play host to a catwalk fashion show which will highlight the best recycled fashions.

Refashioned: From Waste to Wear – a free event on Tuesday 15 February supported by SITA Trust and Defra – will throw the spotlight on five of the most stylish designers in the eco-fashion business. They will parade their clothes in a catwalk spectacular at the Dana Centre, the Science Museum’s adult-only café and bar for contemporary science events. Each designer will also host workshops throughout the evening, which will lift the lid on how to turn reused and recycled materials into modern, cutting edge designer clothes and accessories.

Event organiser Dominique Driver, from the Science Museum, said: “We are running this event at the same time as London Fashion Week to highlight the fact that the latest fashions needn’t come at a cost to the planet. Our catwalk show will highlight some truly beautiful and elegant designs which we hope will inspire a new generation of eco-friendly fashion designers.”
