Pictures in Focus: James McIntosh Patrick (1907 - 1998)

Andrew McIntosh Patrick will be in conversation with Selina Skiptwith, Keeper of Art at The Fleming Collection, about the work of his father James McIntosh Patrick.

Three works by James McIntosh Patrick are at the heart of the current exhibition, Consider the Lilies: Scottish Art 1910 - 1980 from Dundee's McManus Galleries and Museum. A native Dundonian, McIntosh Patrick is one of the city's most celebrated artists, best know for his landscape paintings. This exhibition features intimate portaits of his home town, including 'The Tay Bridge from my stuio window' (1948). Andrew McIntosh Patrick is his son; he was Managing Director of the Fine Art Society for over forty years and is now Deputy Chairman.
