LKL Maths-Art seminar: Digital design and generative geometry in architecture

Brady Peters and Xavier DeKestellier present the work of Foster & Partners' Specialist Modelling Group

Foster & Partners' SMG involves specialists who are a new breed of architectural designer - the digital design specialist, requiring an education in design, mathematics, computing, and analysis. This range of skills is not part of architects' training and thus the role of the SMG is both to provide consultancy to design projects, and to educate architects in the use of digital techniques and the role of geometry in the design of buildings.
