Victorian sickness and health as seen through the pen of Charles Dickens. Jean Haynes talks of the celebrated list of Dickens’ medical characters, from Bob Sawyer, the student surgeon, to Mrs Gamp, a pre-Nightingale nurse.
Mince pies and refreshments will be served.
