Cyprus Enters the 'Euro-zone': challenges and implications

Hellenic Observatory public debate, in association with the FT Business – LSE European Institute The Future of Europe lecture series


In January 2008, Cyprus will adopt the euro currency. This discussion will focus on the implications of entry for Cyprus and the possible lessons for and from other entrants.

Professor Christopher Pissarides is the Norman Sosnow Professor of Economics at LSE. Michalis Sarris is the minister of finance of the Republic of Cyprus and an LSE alumnus.
