The annual Jencks Award is given to an individual (or practice) who has recently made a major contribution simultaneously to the theory and practice of architecture.

This year's recipient is Wolf D Prix from the internationally acclaimed practice, Coop Himmelb(l)au. In this lecture, he will discuss his deep commitment to the art of spatial surprise and material virtuosity.

Chaired by Charles Jencks, architectural historian and designer.
