The recent reversal of fortune of abstract art with the dramatic return of representation and figurative art. A roller-coaster ride which looks at the rebels and outsiders who have changed the way in which we look at the world features artists including Cezanne, Picasso, Mondrian, Rothko, Pollock, Kandinsky, Gillian Ayres, & Bridget Riley. Photorealists such as Chuck Close & Malcolm Morley - new realists such as Jenny Saville and John Currin. Also that persistent realist Lucien Freud.
