Artistic licence: the creative use of the roundel in posters BSL Interpreted

Claire Dobbin, London Transport Museum Project Curator and Co-curator, The art of the poster - a century of design.


On the occassion of Art on the Underground's exhibition, 100 Years, 100 Artists, 100 Works of Art'.

A talk on the history of the 'creative' roundel, the symbol for London Underground and London's Transport system, looking at how artists have playfully used it in poster designs for nearly 100 years. Including an exhibition tour - linking historic examples with contemporary artists' interpretations.
