Norman Finkelstein speaks on Israel-Palestine: Roots of Conflict and Prospects for Peace

On London leg of UK tour, the world's premier academic on Israel-Palestine, Norman Finkelstein will offer a speech, followed by Floor debate with ample opportunity for questions. Unique, rare opportunity to hear and confront a living legend.

INTRODUCTION
Dr. Finkelstein is an outspoken individual. Both his academic career and his activism have drawn sincere praise and harsh criticism. As a result, lectures and debates with Dr. Finkelstein attract large crowds of supporters, critics and- more importantly- students previously uninterested or unaware of the Palestinian plight.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The tour is aimed to increase awareness about the continued illegal occupation of the Palestinian Territories. Subsequently the tour aims to highlight the ongoing human rights violations that Palestinians are undergoing. Also, with debates following Dr. Finkelstein's lectures, the tour will stimulate debate among students about the Israel-Palestine conflict.

PROGRAMME
The structure of the speaking tour is straightforward. During each of Finkelstein's visits he'll hold a lecture followed by a debate.

Dr. Finkelstein will tour UK universities over six days; Nottingham, Leeds, Warwick, Birmingham, University College London, and Exeter universities.

The lectures have been organised by the universities' respective Palestinian human rights' student societies.
