2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Anti-Apartheid Movement. Join a panel of speakers to look at women's involvement in London.


2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Anti-Apartheid Movement. Join a panel of speakers to look at women’s involvement in the political activities in London, and their support for the women’s movement in South Africa, especially those that were engaged in the struggle for freedom. The event will feature writers, academics and activists, including London Anti-Apartheid women.

Speakers include Professor Shula Marks, former Director of SOAS; Margaret Ling, Anti-
Apartheid Movement Archives Committee; June Bam Hutchison and Lindiwe Poswa.
