Beyond difference

Indian philosopher Professor Arindam Chakrabarti and Gwen Griffith-Dickson in creative dialogue, jumping across differences in religion, culture, philosophical upbringing, race, gender...

Religion is one of the most powerful forces in society and culture, and the issues raised by religious belief are some of the most crucial questions facing us. So reflection on religious issues is important for everyone--whether they hold religious beliefs or not.

With its mission to provide free public lectures, I believe that Gresham College is uniquely placed to stimulate people's thinking in this controversial area.

I hope to engage with some of the most pressing questions for religious belief and commitment, as they confront different faiths, as well as consider what questions are raised by inter-faith relations themselves.
