School of Life Open Day

The School of Life Open Day

Saturday 5 September, 2009, 11-18.00

A year after it launched to widespread media acclaim, The School of Life is hosting an Open Day featuring a variety of unusual stalls and events hosted by its remarkable faculty.

If you have been curious about this maverick social enterprise, which has been dispensing wise ideas about life’s common concerns since September 2008, the Open Day is a perfect opportunity to meet all those behind it as well as to find out more about the regular programme of courses, holidays, meals and events. Highlights include a Life Lessons Stall dispensing philosophical ideas on matters as eclectic as telling the truth, finding the right job, making resolutions and falling in love; free Bibliotherapy Taster Sessions and a Virtual Travel Clinic.

You can also get the flavour of The School of Life’s monthly breakfasts and evening conversation meals, talk to those who teach its five essential courses on Love, Work, Family, Play and Politics, or sign up to one of the unusual holidays on offer for the autumn (including a Voyage in Epicuriosity, An Urban Gardening Weekend, Philosophy by Tube and An Entrepreneur’s Holiday).

Entry to The School of Life is free, as are all Open Day events
