Bach's Partitas and Sonatas for violin - Paul Robertson

For the last three years, supported by a NESTA Fellowship, violinist Paul Robertson has been exploring Bach's world, faith and spirituality through the myriad hidden codes and sacred symbols embedded in J. S. Bach's six rich and complex solo partitas and sonatas, composed in 1720.

Professor Robertson will briefly introduce each ofthe three concerts, exploring the secret narratives, Baroque dance forms, and religious symbolism of the music. J. S. Bach's Sonata 1 in G minor, Christmas and Partita 1 in B minor, Birth.
