Birds and Pesticides: is the threat of a Silent Spring really behind us?

Pesticide Action Network UK's annual Rachel Carson Memorial Lecture

Join us at the Rachel Carson Memorial Lecture 2009, sponsored by the Cooperative group.

This year Pesticide Action Network UK welcomes guest speaker Dr Pierre Mineau, Senior Researcher and Head of the pesticide section for Canada’s federal department of the environment at the National Wildlife Research Centre in Ottawa, Canada.

In the 2009 Rachel Carson Memorial Lecture, ‘Birds and Pesticides: Is the threat of a silent spring really behind us?’ Pierre will draw on his 30 years of experience in this field and describe the highs and lows of the ongoing struggle to protect our feathered friends from the ravages of modern pest control.

The ticket price, as always, includes organic drinks, a delicious buffet and live music.
