Zimbabwe 30 years on: Rights, challenges and opportunities

An event with leading Zimbabwean civil society activists to mark the 30th anniversary of Zimbabwean independance.


The event, entitled ‘Zimbabwe 30 years on: Rights, challenges and opportunities’ will feature leading Zimbabwean civil society activists such as Lovemore Matombo (President, Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions), Irene Petras (Executive Director, Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights) and Gabriel Shumba (Executive Director, Zimbabwe Exile Forum).

As Zimbabwe marks 30 years of independence, this landmark conference will hear from three of the country’s most prominent civil society leaders. ‘Zimbabwe 30 years on’ will examine the country’s current challenges and opportunities for the future from a Diaspora, trade union and human rights perspective
