On the Soul in the Platonic Tradition

The Descent and the Ascent of the Soul

An examination of the origin of the soul as described in the Timaeus and the Phaedrus. We will explore the cycles of life and death which involve both the judgment of the soul and the choices it itself makes and how these cycles sit within the greater cycle of the soul in which it is moved from its innocence, through experience in the material world towards a reversion to the Gods.
