Learn about and experience the benefits of playing for children and young people

, emotional well beingThis interactive seminar combines practical activities with a lecture style presentation. Playwork lecturer, Ben Tawil will showcase recent research in children’s play and playwork to argue that rather than our preoccupation with specific and deferred skills development, we may be better to focus our concerns onto the immediate benefits of play for emotional wellbeing, people and place attachment, brain growth and development, socialisation, stress response systems and last but not least pleasure and enjoyment.
