CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN, THE INVENTION OF CUBISM/ THE HISTORY OF MODERNITY FROM BARS TO STARS AND STRI

The aim is to make modern art understandable and accessible and to de-mystify contemporary art.


CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN, THE INVENTION OF CUBISM How Picasso and Braque reinvented the picture surface and brought the real world to the picture surface. We will look at Analytical and Synthetic cubism and how it led
to the birth of abstraction. Conceptual art, its ideas and how Marcel Duchamp created ideas that still define contemporary art.
