Adventures and Misadventures

Young British polar explorers Alex Hibbert and Patrick Woodhead talk about the experiences which inspired their new books.


Alex Hibbert and Patrick Woodhead, two young British explorers, will enthral with tales of their journeys to some of the most remote places on earth.
Both have published books recently and will be discussing these and the experiences which inspired dthem..

Polar expedition leader and photographer 24-year old, Alex Hibbert, spent over 22 weeks on the longest fully unsupported polar expedition in history. His first book, The Long Haul, was published in March 2010.

Patrick Woodhead is a professional explorer and writer. He spent 8 years exploring the Amazon jungle to the cold deserts of Antarctica,before settling down to write his first thriller novel, The Forbidden Temple. Based on a real life expedition to Tibet in 2004, the book is the first of three adventure thrillers that draw on many of Patrick's own experiences.
