The 10th century was a fascinating moment in the history of our country and the North west


Study of place name evidence, coupled with archaeological discoveries has helped us to piece together a picture of Viking life here and more recent activity by metal detectorists & DNA studies. This multi disciplinary conference where leading Viking experts will present and discuss recent evidence for Viking settlement in NW England
