Mary Bacon, a farmer's wife in eighteenth-century Hampshire

The discovery of a 300 hundred page document belonging to Mary Bacon , a farmer's wife living in Hampshire in the eighteenth-century

Ruth Facer, has written a book entitled 'Mary Bacon's World, A farmer's wife in eighteenth-century Hampshire' based on the unexpected discovery in the Hampshire Records Office of a farming ledger which had belonged to Mary Bacon and was filled with fascinating information and stories. Did Mary Bacon and Jane Austen meet?
It remains a possibility as there were many aspects of their rural lives which were the same.
