The High Renaissance in Rome

Discover why Rome was so important artistically in the sixteenth century eg study Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.


This course charts one of the great periods in the history of art. We shall see the magnificent work of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling and the work of his contemporaries. We shall also discover why Rome was so important artistically in the 16th century.
