Geoffrey Pleyers & Martin Albrow on Alter-Globalization

Geoffrey Pleyers & Martin Albrow on Alter-Globalization

Geoffrey Pleyers & Martin Albrow on Alter-Globalization
Geoffrey Pleyers (Belgian Foundation for Scientific Research at the University of Louvain (UCL) and visiting fellow at LSE) studies the phenomenon of alter-globalization in his last book. He provides a comprehensive account of these critical global forces and their attempts to answer one of the major challenges of our time: How can citizens and civil society contribute to the building of a fairer, sustainable and more democratic co-existence of human beings in a global world? Martin Albrow (LSE, and Emeritus Professor of the University of Wales) has studied globalization and global issues since the late 1980s and is the author of The Global Age (1996) as well as books on bureaucracy, organizations and Max Weber.
